The Business Analyst will be responsible for defining the business and functional requirements of the project. He/She will work with the business stakeholders (e.g. Ministry, cluster or research users) to understand in-depth the demands/needs of the stakeholders and translate the needs to functional requirements for implementation. He/She will also work with the delivery teams comprising project managers, change management specialists, business analysts and clinical subject matter experts to deliver the project.
 
Role and Responsibilities
  • Providing support for data analytics users
  • Work with all relevant parties/stakeholders to advise users (who can come from clinical, research or private sector) on usage of MOH data analytics technologies and systems.
  • Lead and support in the collation of business and clinical requirements from users to recommend the development/ enhancement of appropriate data analytics solutions.
  • Based on user’s requirement, provide guidance and advice to users on the right datasets for their data analytics needs and use cases.
  • Lead and support in review of use cases and data requests to ensure alignment with governance and approval processes.
  • Leading and planning to enhance data analytics
  • Lead and support in data analytics/data sharing related problem analysis, opportunities identification, improvement measures definition and proposal recommendation to supervisor, workgroup and management.
  • Lead and support curating and maintaining data catalogue to facilitate users’ analytics work.
  • Participate in workgroup and committees to lead, drive and support data analytics initiatives
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information
  • Technology or health & biological sciences or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Resourceful, proactive, flexible and has an excellent working attitude.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate ideas succinctly.
  • Able to interact and work well with people at all levels.
  • Experience with health and biological science research/clinical informatics/pharmacy informatics will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of business and IT in healthcare industry is an added advantage.
