Position Summary:

This position reports to the Human Resources (HR) Managing Director and interfaces with company managers, staff and Vertex portfolio companies.

As part of a lean global/ HQ human capital team, you will support the full employee life cycle for Vertex and provide talent acquisition assistance to our portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with hiring managers to build strong talent pipelines for permanent and interns hiring.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, reference checks, and onboarding.
  • Facilitate employee orientation to ensure a smooth integration experience.
  • Responsible for payroll and benefits administration across Singapore, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Vietnam and US.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personal files, leave administration and other HR documentation including submission of government-paid leave claims.
  • Provide direct support to employees regarding HR procedures, policies and programs.
  • Assist in HR initiatives and projects, including employee engagement activities, performance review cycles, compensation and employee benefits scheme, etc.
  • Prepare statutory survey submissions to government agencies and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Administer foreign work pass applications and ensure compliance with MOM requirements.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and data analysis for management and board meetings.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in disciplines related to HR or business with a strong business-centric mindset are preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of working experience as a HR Generalist or related roles, preferably within venture capital, private equity or asset management companies.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems; comfortable working with data, generating reports and maintaining HR databases.
  • Experience supporting multi-country payroll operations and working with external vendors are preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act and familiarity with regional labor laws and practices is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across different countries.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong organisation skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
