Meet Ayuni Azmi, Professional Cloud Architect Graduate
In one sentence, who is Ayuni? I’m a Professional Cloud Architect graduate with eight years of experience as an educator at the Ministry of Education, passionate about building practical, AI-powered solutions that bridge business needs and cloud technology.
After nearly a decade in the Ministry of Education, what key strength do you bring into the tech world today? My superpower is translating complexity into clarity. I’m able to bridge technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that solutions are not only well-built, but also well understood and aligned with business goals.
What was the "mountain" you had to climb during your Google Skills Ignition traineeship? The biggest challenge was designing an end-to-end AI solution architecture for a retail use case using Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery, GKE). This required translating ambiguous needs into a scalable, secure architecture balancing cost, performance, and governance. My approach broke the problem into layers: data ingestion, model development, deployment, and monitoring. I aligned layers with objectives, articulated trade-offs, and used mentor feedback to refine technical depth and storytelling. Ultimately, this strengthened my ability to think like an architect, focusing on long-term impact.
How do you see your work contributing to Singapore’s tech landscape in the next year? I hope to contribute by helping organisations increase the adoption of AI and cloud technologies through responsible and strategic implementation. As many companies explore AI but struggle with practical application, I aim to help translate complex technologies into actionable solutions that teams can confidently adopt.
Any final words for hiring managers looking for someone with your unique profile? Pivoting into cloud architecture required courage and discipline, from building new technical foundations to earning certifications and completing hands-on projects. I bring both technical capability and strong stakeholder communication, which is essential in roles that connect business and engineering teams.
