You will play a key role as a senior exec on a reputable client who is a cross channel buyer with the regional team under Mindshare. You will work together with members of the activation team and planning teams for media buying activities across social and programmatic platform.

Measures of success –

In three months:
  • Ensure certifications across social and programmatic platforms.
  • Adopted best practices around client structure, platform set-ups, media buying principles and exposure to tech partners.
  • Become familiar with Group M’s media buying proposition and processes
  • Demonstrate mastery of all platforms and systems which power media buying.
  • Receive great feedback from co-workers and client leads as a result of strong communication both internal and external stakeholders

In six months:

  • Build paid media campaigns from scratch with minimal supervision- questioning the brief with the agency teams.
  • Been confidently running the operations smoothly, meeting all KPIs, and be assuming the agency relationship management
  • Become a trusted advisor through strong justification of recommendations, strong timeline management and delivering outcomes
  • Optimize campaign performance across media campaign you’ve set up towards client’s KPI.
  • Drive the testing of new betas, platforms and other innovations for the incoming briefs.

In 12 months:

  • Taken on more strategic responsibility and start to get involved in WIP meetings, attempting to educate and share new features and services
  • Assist the team in research, defining strategy to preparing presentation material
  • Be able to analyse and provide insights per channel along with the specialist teams
  • Active participation in in-channel media strategy.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop and maintain relationships agency partners , specialists and media partners
  • Work on strategy development and idea generation for campaigns
  • Coordination with various media partners (where applicable) to ensure high executional standards
  • Campaign set-ups, optimizations, reporting, analysis, recommendations.
  • Develop and present media plans/ documents incorporating goals, recommendations, rationale, ideas and implementation, planning costs and budget splits.
  • Manage and deliver to the day-to-day needs of the accounts.
  • Develop and delivery necessary reports alongside data teams by providing insights. Reports like media flowchart updates, budget updates, contact reports, competitive, post-campaign reports, in a timely manner.
  • Manage, evaluation, question media briefs. Provide smart recommendations from a planning perspective.
  • Work with the finance department to ensure all finance processes are adhered to and relevant data is updated.

What you will need:

  • Experience in a digital marketing role with a focus on media buying.
  • Certification on social platforms and programmatic preferred.
  • Builds meaningful relationships with team members and publishers
  • Excellent administrative and organisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • A good work ethic, problem solving and proficient time management skills
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft office software
  • Comfortable using Microsoft excel and manipulating dashboards – an analytical mind that is creative as well as data-driven to identify trends/patterns and insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in our client & their business
  • Bachelor’s degree required: concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and/or communications preferred
