What You'll Be Doing
Strategy & Consulting
- Lead brand, communications, and campaign strategy for key clients across B2C, B2B and G2C portfolio; 1 key travel client will be an anchor portfolio
- Conduct sound research through data-informed methodologies to uncover and deliver unexpected insights that drive strategic creative programming and ladder up to program objectives
- Contribute to or lead brainstorm and strategy sessions for current client and/or new business opportunities, crafting creative briefs, vetting ideas, and leading development into actionable concepts
- Maintain a high quality of work across the entire strategy phase including drafting briefs, audience personas, insights, narratives, strategic frameworks, customer journeys, channel plans, measurement frameworks and program KPIs
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to consult, create, and inspire clients with data-backed, digital-first communications and content marketing
- Direct interaction and consult with clients and senior stakeholders
- Proactively identify new opportunities for client growth with business leads
- This role may require some supervision of social and B2B marketing strategies, as assigned
Management & Business Building
- Assist Practice Leader to spearhead the strategy function and direction for the organization including capabilities development, team’s growth, and expansion plan
- Mentor and actively supervise career growth of at least 1-2 strategists
- Lead the evolution and commercialisation of WE’s strategy offerings in areas of communications innovation, data and predictive behaviourial intelligence (STITCHED)
- Drive training and improvement of research and planning skills across the office
- Proactive role in improving internal research and planning processes including refreshing tool stack, partnerships, research methodologies and WE’s strategy framework
- Contribute to WE’s Intellectual Property (IP) or thought-leadership programmes
- 5-8 years of experience in strategy role or at a brand, integrated marketing, digital or communications firm
- While we are seeking for a strategist from upstream planning, brand and communications experience, a good understanding of marketing touchpoints is a must; other experiences such as social, media, UIUX and service design will be a bonus
- Understands the role of content marketing, earned media and PR in integrated communications strategies
- Entrepreneurial and experimental in evolving the role of strategy in marketing and communications including exploring and embracing new technologies in data, insights and creative production
- Show a general curiosity and hunger to learn about everything. Great planners constantly ask “why.”
- Working knowledge in tools similar to Newswhip, Talkwalker, Social Bakers, Foresight Factory etc.
