Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute procurement strategies for food ingredients, ensuring alignment with company goals, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/vendors based on criteria such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on food ingredient trends, prices, and availability, and provide insights to the management team.
  4. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, favorable payment terms, and ensure long-term partnerships.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality control, and finance, to understand ingredient requirements and ensure smooth procurement processes.
  6. Manage supplier relationships, conduct regular supplier performance reviews, and address any issues or disputes that may arise.
  7. Monitor and track supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality control, and adherence to contractual obligations.
  8. Continuously evaluate and optimize the procurement process to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
  9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to procurement and food safety.
  10. Prepare reports, metrics, and analysis related to procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Proven experience of 2-3 years in procurement within the food industry, preferably in food ingredients.
  3. Strong knowledge of food ingredient specifications, market trends, and sourcing strategies.
  4. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  5. Sound understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
  6. Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  9. Result-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  10. Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality control practices is an advantage.
